We’re a small farm located in West Chester Township, Butler County Ohio. Situated on a little over 5 acres. A Little History on Our Farm Name – Empty Gourd Acres

It all stems from my late father, he loved raising gourds.  His father also enjoyed raising gourds.  As for us, well after he passed and as we were cleaning out the shop building we found many gourds hanging from the rafters drying as well as too many boxes to count of dried gourds.  Sadly most of the ones in the boxes had been visited by little critters over their time in storage.  As the clean up project went along just when we thought we were done finding gourds we’d happen on a few more hiding in the nooks and crannies.  As an homage to dad we named the farm Empty Gourd Acres.  While we are still perfecting the art of growing gourds that is not our main focus other than at least trying to have one plant growing every year. We still need quite a bit of practice, but we’re working on it!
